Petrochemical wastewater contains heavy oil, sulfur, phenols, cyanide, as well as benzene, alcohols, ethers, ketones, aldehydes, organic phosphorus, metal salts, etc., and the organic matter content is high, mostly toxic and harmful substances. The main pollutant indicators are CODcr, petroleum, sulfides, ammonia nitrogen, etc. The pollutant concentration is high, the composition is complex, and the water quantity and quality fluctuate greatly. For this type of wastewater, we have developed a biological fluidized bed (ABFT) and biological aerated filter (BAF) process, which not only removes SS, CODcr, and BOD5, but also has the effect of nitrogen and phosphorus removal.
